Faolan (Fway-lawn)
Faol is wolf and lan is little, translating to "little wolf." Faolan is the original Irish version of my last name.
Bio
I
have always had a love for photography. Ever since I could hold a camera, I
would take pictures wherever I went.
Every time my family would take a trip I would take the camera and run
off to find things to take pictures of.
It got to the point where I was the one everyone was waiting for because
I was waiting for the right shot or a person to step out of the frame. As I got older I have come a long way since
the days of taking the photos for the family album, but that passion has never
faded.
I use photography to tell a story and capture a moment: critical action, emotion, light, and timing come together to create a complete picture. I have lived and worked on the New England coast for many years, and New England traditions and cultures – from the sea to the coastal farms – show up in my work many times.
